La Liga strike over, play started Friday

I’m a little late on this, but I guess the players and everyone associated with La Liga got my message in one of my previous posts about the strike. This strike didn’t take very long to resolve, and after 1 week of missed play, the season started this past Friday, where Cristiano Ronaldo had a hat trick and led Real Madrid to a blowout win. An agreement was reached last Thursday when the La Liga promised to pay the $72 million owed to more than 200 players wages that were never paid. Also, the league agreed to allow players to be released from their contracts if wages were not paid for three months. This is great for both sides, and the strike problem in soccer switches to Italy’s Serie A, which still has not reached an agreement (post coming soon).
