Manchester United crushes MLS All-Stars 4-0

David Beckham and the MLS All-Stars put up a good fight, but came up short vs. Manchester United.

Manchester United crushed the MLS All-Stars in the 2011 MLS All-Star Game Wednesday night. 26,760 people filled Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ to watch the champions of the English Premier League. Man U didn’t disappoint, continuing their domination of the American teams when Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov set up Anderson on an easy finish in the 20th minute. Berbatov, Ji-Sung Park, and Danny Welbeck also scored, with Park’s magnificent goal coming just before halftime. MLS All-Stars weren’t bad, as David Beckham and others had chances in the first half that just missed. Manchester United is now 4-0 during the World Football Challenge and has outscored opponents in blowout fashion, 18-2. New starting goalkeeper for Manchester United Anders Lindegaaard looked great, stopping a couple of drives from Beckham and the All-Stars. ManU finishes their World Football Challenge when they take on FC Barcelona Saturday at FedEx Field, the home of the Washington Redskins. The game is a rematch of the Champions League final, which Barcelona won 3-1.
