Women’s World Cup: Day 2

Day 1 Scores

France: 1

Nigeria: 0

Germany: 2

Canada: 1

Analysis

Nigeria looked a little uptight on the first day of the 2011 Women’s World Cup, and France finally capitalized early in the second set. France played flawlessly, and should be happy about their first match victory. Germany looked right at home (no pun intended, as they are the host nation), winning 2-1 over a good young team in Canada, and did it quite easily, scoring early on. They certainly looked like the strong favorite that they are. Here is the schedule for the second day of the 2011 Women’s World Cup in Germany.

Day 2 schedule and predictions

Japan: 2

New Zealand: 1

England: 3

Mexico: 2

France boned Canada today 4-0. This was supposed to be Canada’s year lol and they have been thumped by two teams in their group of “death.” The score against Germany didn’t reflect the nature of the game. Germany looked awful good, gonna be a tough team to beat. Not that I really care lol

    • Canada looked horrible against France, they were supposed to be the next best young team. I guess that labeling will have to wait a while. Germany is looking really good, especially with the crowd behind them.
