#10 Mardy Fish defeated Marcel Granollers 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-5), 6-4

There’s many more matches I didn’t put on there, but notice I wrote the word notable. Many, many matches were played on Day 1, and tons of them were cancelled and rescheduled for the next day, setting up a packed, I mean PACKED Day 2 from the All England Club. Rafael Nadal looked strong, even with Michael Russell diving all over the place, and Andy Murray rebounded from a shaky first set to win quite easily. I’ll keep this post short for Day 1, I’ll have more analysis tomorrow.

Notable Day 2 scheduled matches and predictions

Mikhail Kukushkin vs. #3 Roger Federer

Prediction: Federer in 3 sets

#2 Novak Djokovic vs. Jeremy Chardy

Prediction: Djokovic in 3 sets

#8 Andy Roddick vs. Andreas Beck

Prediction: Roddick in 3 sets

#5 Robin Soderling vs. Phillip Petzschner

Prediction: Soderling in 3 sets

#7 David Ferrer vs. Benoit Paire

Prediction: Ferrer in three sets

John Isner vs. Nicolas Mahut

Prediction: Isner in 4 sets

Match to watch

Isner vs. Mahut

Why: Well, it’s the rematch. Sadly the court is Court 3, and Mohamed Lahyani isn’t the chair umpire. It’ll be another great and close match though.
