French Open Day 13 review and look ahead: Men

Completed Day 13 matches

#1 Rafael Nadal defeated #4 Andy Murray 6-4, 7-5, 6-4

#3 Roger Federer defeated #2 Novak Djokovic 7-6 (7-5), 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5)

Reaction

Rafael Nadal’s win over Andy Murray isn’t so surprising, especially since Andy Murray is injured. Still, Murray played well, or at least as well as he could with one ankle. It was a very tight straight sets victory that really could have gone either way. Novak Djokovic looked very weak and tired against Roger Federer, after almost a week of rest after his quarterfinals opponent, Fabio Fognini, withdrew.
