Mavs rally from 15-point deficit, win Game 2

Dirk Nowitzki was huge in the Mavs' comeback against the Heat in Game 2.

With 7 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of Game 2, nothing was going right for the Dallas Mavericks. They were down by 15 and Dirk Nowitzki’s crew was staring at a 2-0 deficit. But then, the miraculous happened. Nowitzki scored the final 9 points, and capped off the wild comeback with a left handed game-winning shot, with a torn tendon in his left middle finger. Dirk finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds after an un-Dirk like first three quarters. Dwyane Wade led the way for the Heat, who were running away with the game early in the fourth quarter after being deadlocked for the entire first half. Wade scored 36 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Jason Terry scored 16 points and Shawn Marion built off of his strong Game 1 with 20 points. Nowitzki drove to the bucket and made a layup with his injured hand, then watched Wade misfire on a game-winning shot of his own. This comeback was nothing new for Dallas, as they came back, also down by 15 in the final quarter to Oklahoma City, and won in overtime. Dallas was angry when Wade posed after making a three-pointer with 7:15 left and went on a tear the rest of the game. LeBron James scored 20 points, and Chris Bosh wasn’t very good, scoring only 12 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Game 3 is Monday night in Dallas at American Airlines Center at 8 PM Eastern Time on ABC.
