Kentucky escapes upset

Freshman Brandon Knight led Kentucky to a nail-biting 59-57 win.

4th-ranked Kentucky beat #13 Princeton in the Round of 64 Thursday afternoon 59-57. Freshman Brandon Knight scored his only points with 2 seconds remaining, leading the Wildcats out of a scary moment. The biggest lead of the game was 9 for Kentucky, at the very beginning of the game, but the Tigers almost churned out an upset. Kentucky now plays #5 West Virginia in the Round of 32 Saturday at 12:15 PM Eastern Time. The game will be broadcast on CBS. With Knight struggling, Darius Miller scored 17 points. Kareem Maddox scored 12 points, and pulled down 3 rebounds and had 3 steals. Princeton is now 13-28 in NCAA tournament history.
