Duke-UNC in ACC Final

Nolan Smith overcame a toe injury to lead Duke to a ACC tournament final appearance.

The Duke Blue Devils beat the Virginia Tech Hokies 77-63 behind Nolan Smith’s 27 points to set up an ACC tournament final against arch-rival North Carolina. Kyle Singler scored 13 points and added 11 for Duke. Malcolm Delaney scored 19 points for Virginia Tech. Smith’s status for the game beforehand was in doubt, due to a toe injury, but was cleared to play. Duke will look for revenge Sunday afternoon against UNC, as the Tar Heels beat them to win the ACC regular season title last week 81-67. UNC narrowly beat Clemson 92-87 in overtime thanks to Harrison Barnes’ 40 points, a career high. The ACC tournament final is at 1 PM Eastern Time on ESPN.
