Kansas wins

The brothers Morris led the Jayhawks to a victory Friday night and a trip to the Big 12 tournament finals.

#2 Kansas beat Colorado 90-83 in the Big 12 Semifinals with the help of the twins Morris. Markieff and Marcus Morris each scored 20 for the Jayhawks, who will face the tenth ranked team in the country, the Texas Longhorns in the finals Saturday. Marcus also had 13 rebounds, and Markieff added 8. Alec Burks scored 23 for the Buffaloes, who led or was closely within Kansas for almost the whole first half. Kansas is hoping to keep their #1 seed chances alive, as the NCAA Tournament starts on March 15th. Later, Texas beat in-state rivals, Texas A&M 70-58 behind Jordan Hamilton’s 17 points. Texas has never won the Big 12 tournament, and would be the first team from Texas to do so. The Big 12 Championship is at 6:00 PM Eastern Time on ESPN.
