Kevin Love sets all-time record

Kevin Love had his 52nd consecutive double-double Wednesday.

Yesterday, Kevin Love set the single-season consecutive double-double record with 51 straight games. Wednesday, he overcame a left knee injury to surpass Moses Malone for the most consecutive double-doubles ever. Love set the record in only 27 minutes played and the Timberwolves beat the Indiana Pacers 101-75. Love had 16 points and 21 rebounds, and passed the record shortly before halftime. Tyler Hansbrough scored 21 and Danny Granger was awful, scoring 10 points on two for nineteen from the floor. Michael Beasley scored 16 for Minnesota, and the Pacers looked terrible, and continued their bad play of late. Love, who was 50-50 before the game, sat out the entire fourth quarter, but the damage was already done, and Love heard “MVP” chants for the second straight game.
