Tiki Barber unretires

Tiki Barber will be returning to the NFL after a 4-year hiatus.

After 4 years out of the NFL, former running back Tiki Barber has unretired. The 35-year old Barber last played in 2006 for the New York Giants, his only team. Since, he has served as an analyst and commentator for NBC. He won’t be going back to his old team, though, as repeatedly he has criticized head coach Tom Coughlin and quarterback Eli Manning. One possible destination for Barber would be Tampa Bay, where his brother, Ronde, has been a cornerback for the Buccaneers all his career. Barber in his last season in 2006 rushed for 1,662 yards and five touchdowns. He rushed for 10,449 yards in his 10 year career with New York. The Giants all-time rushing leader actually is still under contract with them, but will most certainly be released. He will play in 2011, should there be a season, with a potential lockout looming.

This is a complete joke. He’s going to be 36 years old. Hasn’t played in four years. This is all about getting a quick paycheck and his failure as a broadcaster.
