Love sets double-double record

Kevin Love set the single-season consecutive double-double record at 50 games.

Kevin Love set the consecutive double-double record in a 108-105 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Love continued his dominance with 23 points and 17 rebounds for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 51-game streak passed Moses Malone for the single-season record, but it tied with Malone for the consecutive record, as Malone’s record was over two seasons. Dirk Nowitzki was in foul trouble but still scored 25 points and added 6 rebounds. Michael Beasley scored 20 and posted 9 rebounds, just short of a triple double, but gave Dallas quite a test when their best player was not having a great night. Jason Terry’s 11 points and a clutch 10-0 run by Dallas helped win the game on a slow night for the Mavs.
