Orlando beats New York thanks to Howard’s big night

Dwight Howard's 30 points led the Magic.

The revamped New York Knicks seemed to be at their best, with their star 3 players scoring 85 points combined. But Dwight Howard, a.k.a. “Superman”, took the win from the Knicks, scoring 30 points of his own, pulling 16 rebounds, and swatting away New York like flies, totaling 5 blocks in a 116-110 Magic win. Chauncey Billups and Amare Stoudemire each had 30 of their own, and Carmelo Anthony added 25, but the Knicks are now sitting at 2-2 since acquiring Billups and Anthony. Jameer Nelson helped out Howard, scoring 26 points of his own. The Knicks continued their inconsistent play, following up an impressive win over Miami on Sunday with this disappointing loss. They led at halftime and at the start of the fourth quarter, but the bench was outscored 44-11 in what might have been the difference in the game.

  1. It’s one game. I still maintain that I would take New York in a 7 game series
