Thornton for Landry

Marcus Thornton will be going to the Sacramento Kings for Carl Landry.

The Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Hornets have completed a deal that would send Marcus Thornton and cash to California’s capital in exchange for former Purdue forward Carl Landry. Thornton, a guard, is averaging 7.8 points per game. The good thing about him is that he can score in bunches, very much like J.R. Smith of the Denver Nuggets. Landry, who has been splitting time with DeMarcus Cousins, is averaging 12 points and 5 rebounds per contest. In a move before the 3 AM trade deadline, outspoken Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban had many opinions on the trade, saying it was “wrong”, because there is not a current owner of the Hornets; the league owns the team.
