Kirk Hinrich to Hawks in deadline deal

These two will be swapping teams, after the Hawks and Wizards completed a deadline deal.

Before the trade deadline, the Atlanta Hawks sent Mike Bibby to the Washington Wizards as part of a 5 player trade. The Hawks sent Bibby, Jordan Crawford, Maurice Evans, and a 2011 first round draft pick. They received veteran point guard and former Chicago Bull Kirk Hinrich and Hilton Armstrong. Hinrich, who was in his first season in Washington, is averaging 11.1 points and 4.4 assists per game. Bibby, who is 32 and is a small portion of his younger self, is averaging a meager 6.4 points and 3.6 assists per game. The two teams are going in different directions, with the Hawks playoff bound, although scuffling, and the Wizards once again uncompetitive in the Eastern Conference.
