Ray Emery back

Ray Emery will attempt to make a comeback with the Anaheim Ducks.

Anaheim Ducks goalie Ray Emery is back in the NHL after being called up from the AHL. He signed a 1-year deal with the Ducks February 7th to cope with the loss of starting goalie and All-Star Jonas Hiller. Emery previously played for the Philadelphia Flyers and Ottawa Senators, leading the Senators to an appearance in the 2007 Stanley Cup Finals, ironically against the Ducks. He will serve as backup to Curtis McElhinney for now. Emery, only 28, had his career jeopardized by multiple hip injuries that caused him to be out. After rehabbing, Emery will be adding to his career record as a goalie of 87-51-15.

  1. Ray is only 28?! Wow, and I thought the guy retired or something. Is he just doing this for a chance to fight Brent Johnson? 😛
