Tiger Woods ends Saturday 1 back

Woods overcame a slow start to end his day at par 72, only one shot back of the leader.

Tiger Woods is still searching for his first tournament win in over a year. He came closer with a par 72 on Saturday in the Dubai Desert Classic. Woods is now -7, one shot behind leaders Rory McIlroy and Anders Hansen. In brutally windy conditions, Woods was one of the few who stayed afloat, and overcame a bad start to the day to close it out at par. After coming back from personal issues last year, Woods played poorly and lost his #1 world ranking. He now stands at #3 in the world. Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer are #1 and #2 respectably. Going into the final round, Woods is tied with a large number of players, including Sergio Garcia.
