Lakers rout Knicks

Kobe Bryant looked like his prime self, scoring 33 points.

The Los Angeles Lakers looked like they were home, decked out in their signature yellow jerseys. Turns out they were on the other side of the country, but they still played great, routing the New York Knicks 113-96. Kobe Bryant scored 33 points, 19 coming in the first quarter. Bryant’s 10 rebounds also set the stage for a 14-point lead going into halftime. Amare Stoudemire accumulated 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Raymond Felton added 20 and 7 assists for the struggling Knicks. The jerseys were slightly bizarre on a Friday night in New York, as both teams wore old-school uniforms worn decades ago, but the Knicks wore their away colors, while the Lakers wore their home colors.
