Lakers get revenge with win over Celtics

The Lakers won a crucial game, despite a record-breaking Ray Allen.

The Los Angeles Lakers strode into TD Garden hoping they would win and get revenge for their previous loss to arch rivals, the Boston Celtics. They showed up Thursday night on national television for all to watch and to send a message: The Lake Show is back. Los Angeles overcame Ray Allen’s 20 points and won 92-86. In an NBA Finals rematch from last season, Kobe Bryant saved his best for last, scoring 20 of his 23 points en route to the victory. Allen became the NBA’s All-Time 3 points made leader in the first quarter, but the Lakers shut him down for most of the game, getting him into foul trouble. Kevin Garnett struggled, scoring 10 points and adding 11 rebounds. Pau Gasol had a good game, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 boards.
