Jerry Sloan resigns

You won't be seing any more of this familiar face on the sideline.

Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan has resigned after 23 years with the team. Sloan was the longest-tenured coach in the NBA. The Hall of Fame coach said that he didn’t have anything left to coach. Assistant Tyrone Corbin was almost immediately named the new coach. The Jazz started the season off strong, jumping out to a 15-5 start to 2010/2011, but currently stand at 31-23 after a loss to the Chicago Bulls. Sloan was also a player for the Bulls in the ’60s and ’70s. He has the third most career wins as a head coach.
