QB Vick named CPOY

Vick won the Comeback of the Year award Saturday.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was unsurprisingly awarded the Comeback Player of the Year. He became the first player to win the award after being in jail. Vick was sentenced to 18 months for dogfighting. Vick missed the 2007 and 2008 season and signed a contract with the Eagles shortly after being released. Donovan McNabb was  traded to the Washington Redskins before the 2010 season. Vick served as the backup for Kevin Kolb for one game, before Kolb got injured with a concussion. Even though he missed 3 games with a rib injury, Vick was fantastic and after that first game, won the starting job from Kolb. Vick is still a serious contender for the NFL MVP.
