Love going to first NBA All-Star Game

Kevin Love will be going to his first NBA All-Star Game.

For Kevin Love, this season was going to be the year. Averaging 21.4 points and a league high 15.5 rebounds per game, Love was left off the team. He only got in due to an injury to starting center Yao Ming, who was voted in by the fans and is out for the season. League commissioner David Stern picked the replacement. Love is a first time All-Star, and played in last year’s Rookies vs. Sophomores game. He is on a streak of 34 consecutive double-doubles for the Minnesota Timberwolves. San Antonio Spurs coach Greg Popovich is the coach for the Western Conference, and the All-Star Game is February 20th.
