LeBron comes up big vs. Orlando

Orlando Magic general manager Otis Smith has undoubtedly learned a lesson. You don’t mess with LeBron. After criticizing LeBron James during the offseason in wake of James’ highly questioned move to the Miami Heat, he got payback. James went off for 51 points, a season high, and added 11 rebounds and 8 assists, and Miami overcame the Magic 104-100. Forced to carry much of the load with quiet nights from fellow stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, LeBron took over, not missing once in his first 11 shots en route to a 23-point first quarter. Dwight Howard put up strong numbers, but was awful from the charity stripe, going 3-13, but totaled 17 points and 16 rebounds. The 51-point game for James was the first 50-point game all season for any player in the NBA.
