Celtics beat Lakers in NBA Finals rematch

Kevin Garnett and the Celtics thoroughly embarrassed the Lakers in a NBA Finals rematch.

The Boston Celtics this time around, looked like the reigning NBA Champions, beating the actual NBA Champs, the Los Angeles Lakers, by a score of 109-96. Paul Pierce had 32 points, Kevin Garnett had 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Ray Allen contributed 21 points in last year’s NBA Finals rematch. After losing a heartbreaking Game 7 last year, the Celtics were looking for revenge. They got all that and more, embarrassing the Lakers on their home court. Kobe Bryant, being forced to take shots with his teammates struggling, scored a game high 41 points, accounting for 44% of the Lakers’ field goals attempted while on court. Shaquille O’Neal made his return to Los Angeles for the first time since becoming a Celtic. He won 3 championships with Los Angeles.
