Kendrick Perkins back in Celtics win

The Celtics center made his return on Tuesday.

Boston Celtics center Kendrick Perkins has returned from a knee injury. In the Celtics’ 112-95 win over the lowly Cavaliers, Perkins went for 7 points and 6 rebounds in a total of 17 minutes. Perkins was injured when going for a rebound and tore the ACL in his right knee during Game 6 of last year’s NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers. He missed the crucial Game 7, which the Celtics lost, and hadn’t played since. Now was a great time to return for the C’s, who have both Jermaine and Shaquille O’Neal injured and rookie Semih Erden starting, when clearly not ready.
