Tiger Woods falls further

Tiger Woods hasn’t played yet in 2011, but his ranking has already taken a tumble. A few months after losing his #1 ranking to Lee Westwood, German Martin Kaymer replaced Woods as the number 2 player in the world. Kaymer won the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, winning by 8 strokes over Rory McIlroy. Graeme McDowell finished tied for third. Kaymer will be behind Westwood for the best player in the world. Woods will start off his season at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in San Diego, California, Woods’ home state. The tournament starts January 27th. Kaymer finished well above the required seventh place needed to overtake Woods, finishing with a -24 score Sunday.
