Jackson upgraded to coach

As expected, former offensive coordinator Hue Jackson has been upgraded to be the new Oakland Raiders head coach. Surprisingly, owner Al Davis decided not to retain former coach Tom Cable after Oakland’s first non-losing season since 2002. The Raiders went 8-8 this season under Cable. Jackson has been an assistant in the NFL for quite some time now, but never as a head coach. The Raiders lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West Division. The Chiefs ended up losing in the wild-card round to the Baltimore Ravens.
