Stanford has a coach

Stanford has found a replacement for Jim Harbaugh: David Shaw. Harbaugh was hired away by the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers after a 12-1 season and a Orange Bowl win. Shaw, 38, was an assistant under Harbaugh, and part of the coaching staff for the past 4 years before being promoted Thursday. Shaw will not have to do as much as he could have, considering likely NFL #1 projected draft pick Andrew Luck decided to stay on for his junior season. In four years, when Shaw joined the Cardinal, Stanford has gone from a one win team to a one loss team under Harbaugh. Harbaugh replaced Mike Singletary, who was fired after Week 16.
