Soriano a Yankee

Former Rays closer Rafael Soriano has signed with the New York Yankees. The deal is 3 years worth $35 million. Soriano is 31 years old and will presumably be Mariano Rivera’s setup man until Rivera retires. When he does, Soriano will likely be his successor. Soriano saved 45 games for the Rays last year and earned himself to an All-Star appearance. He went 3-2 with a 1.73 ERA. He will join new reliever Pedro Feliciano, who was previously a Met. The Yankees lost to the Texas Rangers in the American League Championship Series in 6 games.
