Brady Hoke new Michigan head coach

Michigan has chosen former San Diego State head coach Brady Hoke as their new head coach following Rich Rodriguez’s firing. The most popular candidates for the head coach vacancy were then-Stanford’s head coach, Jim Harbaugh, who is now the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, and LSU head coach Les Miles, both Michigan alumni. Hoke was an assistant for Michigan for 7 years. Miles decided to stay at LSU. Hoke also coached Ball State University, so this will be his first time as a head coach on a big-name college. San Diego State already chose former defensive coordinator Rocky Long to be their next coach.
