Jets win in thriller

The New York Jets beat the Indianapolis Colts with a last-second drive and game-winning kick from Nick Folk. With 53 seconds remaining, the game seemed over, as Adam Vinatieri, considered the best playoff kicker in history, booted a 50 yarder. But the Colts’ punter, Pat McAfee, made a huge mistake the following play, kicking the ball straigt to cornerback Antonio Cromartie. Cromartie was filling in for Brad Smith, who left with a quad injury. The former Charger responded by running it back 47 yards and Sanchez made the season-saving play of the year, a 18-yard pass to Braylon Edwards. The Jets promptly put Folk on the field for the winner with 0:03 seconds remaining, and he drilled a 32-yard field goal as revenge for the Colts, who beat the Jets last year in the AFC Championship game. The Jets got a huge boost from their two running backs, LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 82 yards and Shonn Greene helped, rushing for 70 yards. Tomlinson became only the 3rd player in Jets playoff history to rush for multiple touchdowns in a game.
