Garnett expected to miss 2 weeks; Injury not serious

Boston Celtics power foward Kevin Garnett suffered a leg injury in Boston’s Wednesday night loss to the Detroit Pistons. It has now been revealed that the injury is a strained right calf muscle. GM Danny Ainge guessed that KG would be out two weeks. The injury is not related to any of his previous knee issues throughout his career. The previous issues, of course, mean the February 2009 right knee injury which eventually required surgery, taking away Garnett’s explosiveness and quickness. Garnett is averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds a game this season.
