Monday Night Football game moved to TCF Bank Stadium

On Monday, the Vikings and Bears will not play at the Metrodome, again, as the damage was deemed to much to play in six days. The game will be played at the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank Stadium. The new stadium fits about 50,000 people. The Metrodome fits about 63,000 people, so it will be a downgrade. However, a Vikings game will be played outside for the first time in 20 years. Ironically, it will be exactly 20 years to the day on Monday. After more than 17 inches of snow fell in Minneapolis, the Metrodome’s Teflon Roof collapsed, causing last week’s loss to the New York Giants to be played on Monday, in Ford Field, the home of the Detroit Lions.
