Carl Crawford signs

Former Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Carl Crawford has signed a 7 year, $142 million deal with the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox have bolstered their lineup, adding former San Diego Padre Adrian Gonzalez. Crawford hit .307 with 18 home runs and 90 RBI’s last year. The Red Sox also actively tried to get outfielder Jayson Werth, who earlier in the week signed with the Washington Nationals in a surprising move. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim were the other team likely to land Crawford. This puts more tension on the Yankees, who have yet to make a move this offseason. The Yankees are frontrunners in the Cliff Lee sweepstakes. Will the Red Sox win the AL East?
